yeah, yeah, you know the old saying….

So, my plans yesterday included just…writing.  I went to my doctor’s appointment to get my estrogen shot…but before I could make it home, the oldest called and said “you have GOT to come and get me.  I feel so bad”

I call and make HER a doctor’s appointment.  it’s that chest congestion thing, and her doctor is able to get her in before noon. GREAT!  I love my pediatrician (even though she’s 16, we still go to the pediatrician)

I get her into the doctors office, and we wait.   As we are sitting there, I am seeing her look a little green around the edges.

Do you need the bathroom?

No.

I keep looking at her out of the corner of my eye.  Suddenly, she puts her hand over her mouth and looks even green-er.

Do you need the bathroom now?

and she nods her head as her eyes get bigger and she presses her hand over her mouth.

She moves quickly, I’ll give her that.

but the bathroom is all the way at the END of a series of hallways…and she makes it as far as the doorway…

And she is LOUD….really really LOUD.  I stopped at the Nurse Practitioner’s desk and we chat…and try not to laugh….

Did she make it?  she asks me.

um.  don’t think so.

she laughs again.   “It’s ok.  That’s what housekeeping is for.”

So I finally go to check on her when I hear the heaving subside.

Yep.  She missed the toilet.  Puke….all over the floor…a bit on her feet…her glasses on the floor… We get her semi-cleaned up - and they put her in a room near a bathroom to wait for the doctor….

We finally leave the doctor with a prescription in hand.  Then back to the house and stuff.

Yeah.  I lead such an exciting life….
