The Pilot Guy & and Car Stuff Nov. 2nd Re-Dux
by dsmouse ~ November 2nd, 2007. Filed under: Just.....Me, Just...Boys.I’m going to attempt to make up for not beginning on NaPoBloMo til the 5th by talking about what was on my mind each day til then - then will be the daily kind of bloggy focus - and back to MY roots of blogging…
Friday was one of THOSE days.
The Pilot Guy (yes, he is still in my life) was scheduled in on a 7:30 PM flight. We had plans to simply go out and PLAY. So, since I only see him about once a month or so…and since I am obsessive about things being as perfect as possible…. I had planned to do as little as possible on Friday. I needed to get my nails and hair done…straighten up the house a little….and THAT was all I was planning to do.
And as we know, all good plans mean that something will likely go wrong.
I headed to Starbucks to grab some coffee and look down and my little battery light in my Tribute was on. NOT a good warning light. So, I call the dealership and tell them - and they say, you’d better bring it in - it will either be the battery or alternator. So, I head towards the dealership and….you guess it. It dies. Right there on the service road of the Interstate…
The Dealership sends a tow truck for me and we head back to the dealership. They do some evaluating and…well, figure out the maintenance costs are beginning to outweigh the the value. I put $1200 into the car a couple of months ago, this was going to be another $800… so….I talk to the service gal, someone I’ve been dealing with for 9 years, and she agrees. So, I bought a new car.
I looked at the Tributes again. But since I rarely take long trips with the dog and both kids, I don’t need that much space….and since the gas mileage is better…I got one of the little Mazda 3’s. It’s dark grey, like this one. Problem was…paperwork was taking TOO much time….and I had a hair appointment…and at that point hadn’t even taken a shower. They threw a temp tag in the window and off I went.
Rushed home to shower. Rushed to the salon, where one of my favorite girls blow dried and curled me all pretty….then rushed home to finish getting ready. Fortunately, his flight left about 30 minutes late -and that gave me the extra time I needed. He wanted conservative on the outside, by the way - and that’s what he got…..Black skirt, pumps, and a button up white shirt….but sexy stockings and some extra sexy panties underneath….
Pretty much, whatever The Pilot Guy wants…the Pilot Guy gets….
So, I picked up him at the airport…and our first stop was the mall. The mall? Just a little erotic fantasy….I helped him try on clothes ![]()
Actually, he and I shop a lot alike. We both look for good bargains on good quality clothing…and spent our time shopping in the Polo Section…. He bought a new pair of shorts…they were a good deal BUT he said he was kind of guilt-ed into buying them…
Then, we went to The Men’s Club for dinner. I know, I know….but this is a very classy strip club and I am incredibly open minded. I appreciate the eye candy and absolutely LOVE watching the people in there. Dinner was really fabulous…and he bought me a lap dance….
Honestly, it was a very relaxing evening. I really…honestly…realized that I have forgotten how to just…play. I enjoy just going out…hanging out.
Afterwards, we headed home….to just…sleep. To the house, deal with the dog, get our contacts out….and relax….We were both a little on the tired side, and it was nice to have a little company at night….and, for the first time in almost two years, I had someone hold me while I slept in my very own bed….
and I do know, by the way, that no matter how much I might adore that boy…that I have no future with him - at least romantically. But, he is my friend, and my adventure partner….
and I trust him. And that means a lot to me right now…..
