The painter guy just arrived.  He is doing all the prep work so that he can paint Kid’s room.  I really want to have the rest of the house painted as well, as it’s been at least four years since it was done, but kid’s room needs to be done first as I think it’s been more than 9 years since that room was painted.

I know I could have saved money by doing it myself, however, I wouldn’t have saved aggravation.  And I would have wrecked my manicure (I Don’t Do Dishes!) and possibly gotten paint in my hair.  And for anyone with color treated hair, you know that getting paint OUT of your hair can be a pain.

Besides, I needed some drywall repaired in there.

The dry wall problem is totally my fault.  There is a hole in the wall about the size of two size 8 1/2 sneakers.  See, there was this armoire in the room that had to GO when Kid changed rooms.  We couldn’t get it to budge since it had been there for several years and had become quite comfy and cozy with the carpet.  I put my back against the armoire and my feet against the wall to budge it a bit…and my feet went right through the wall.

We covered it up with a nightstand.

But now I am finally re-carpeting part of the house.  The living room and Kid’s room.  I can do it in stages since I have so much tile everywhere ’cause who can afford to do it all at once?  Anyway, since I am doing some carpet - and painting needs to be done.  And that hole needed to be fixed before we painted…..

Besides, I am a horribly messy painter.  and like I said, I don’t want to wreck my manicure
